Profile

A Mythical Dragon Digimon descended from an ancient lineage. V-dramon are rare, but despite this, have persisted since time immemorial, having factored into history, myth, and folklore for as long as there has been recorded history in the Digital World. Its name comes from the v-shaped marking on its chest, which is said to be symbolic of victory. The species' combat abilities are definitely in the upper tier of Adult-level Digimon, and can potentially reach a level equivalent to a Perfect's depending upon V-dramon's emotional state—however, enhancing its power in such a way puts V-dramon's life at risk, and can potentially shorten its lifespan, much like how Angemon puts itself at risk when drawing on the power stored in its Holy Rod.

Despite being well suited for success, and spawning numerous subspecies, V-dramon's numbers remain low, even after contact with analog worlds has resulted in a population boom among other rare Digimon species. This is not believed to be due to any weaknesses inherent in V-dramon, or any attempts to keep the species' population limited, but rather. Instead, it is believed to be a result of the fact that there are simply too few Digimon who possess the qualities to evolve into V-dramon in the first place. Indeed, the species has spawned a number of successful subspecies, despite its limited numbers. As far as demeanor, V-dramon are prideful creatures who thrive on competition, and are always eager to prove their strength. However, when they are not fighting, they are playful and childlike, following their friends and potential Tamers as if it were a loyal pet hungry for food or attention. These qualities have led to V-dramon being nicknamed "the puppy dragon".

Attacks

  • V-Breath Arrow - Shoots a V-shaped heat ray from its mouth.
  • V-Breath Arrow MAX - Taps into its intense emotions and uses them to concentrate the power of its V-Breath Arrow to its utmost, firing off an even more powerful heat ray. However, using this attack puts V-dramon at risk.
  • Magnum Punch - Strikes the opponent with a flurry of punches from both arms.
  • Hammer Punch - Raises both its arms above its head, clasping its hands together before swinging them downward in a powerful punch.
  • Cutter Shoot - Slashes its claws through the air, sending several vacuum blades at its enemy.
