Profile

An Aquatic Digimon with the appearance of a narwhal combined with that of a submarine. In ancient times, Digimon could only assume this form when using a Digimental associated with the Crest of Sincerity through Armor Evolution. However, in modern times, any Digimon who meets the qualities to tap into the Crest of Sincerity can evolve into this Digimon. Though Submarimon appears to be a fully mechanical Digimon, it is only partly so, and is actually primarily a Beast and Aquatic-species Digimon. It is believed that Submarimon is one of the rare species of seaborne Digimon that, once it began to evolve naturally, first started doing so from species that lived on land, not in the sea. Submarimon's armor allows it to reach impressive depths, protecting it from intense pressure. One of its cybernetic components is a cockpit that allows othersto ride inside it and control Submarimon as a vehicle, though one must cooperate with Submarimon itself to do so effectively. The long, harpoon-like horn on its nose is Submarimon's primary weapon, along with the compressed air launchers on its underside, both of which allow it to break through rock and icebergs.

Submarimon form pods, like cetaceans, where they use their long nasal horns in jousting matches to determine the leader. They are an intelligent, cooperative species that try to serve as a bridge between Digimon who live on land and those that live in the Net Ocean, as they feel a kindred with Digimon of both environments. Submarimon's use as a vehicle makes it excellent for underwater research, so a great many of them have allied with those seeking to probe the Net Ocean's mysteries. Though Submarimon are peaceful Digimon, they are primarily predators, and have an extremely wide habitat, what with being able to survive in ocean waters of every kind.

Attacks

  • Oxygen Homing - Fires torpedoes of compressed oxygen at its opponent, reacting with other chemicals in the water to explode on contact with its target.
  • Submarine Attack - Rams its opponent while spinning its harpoon-like nose as a drill.
  • Aqua Vulcan - Fires bullets of energy from the tip of its nose.
  • Hydro Jet - Launches a swirling stream of water from its tail rotor. This can either be used offensively, in or out of the water, or to propel Submarimon forward more quickly.
