Profile

A Digimon which resembles the oni of Eastern legends, as well as the ogre of Western folklore. Ogremon are well-muscled, battle loving Digimon that pose a threat to just about any Adult-level Digimon, both for their strength and for their fierce determination in pursuing their goals and rivalries. Ogremon have a reputation for being fierce marauders, but this does not describe the whole of the species, as many Ogremon simply wish to prove their strength to those around them. Others will act as mercenaries, or servants to other powerful Digimon, simply for the opportunity to test their skills.

Ogremon are prolific throughout the Digital World's history, as well as its folklore, where they are unfortunately stereotyped as fiends and villains. One notable tale involves an Ogremon that was tricked and defeated by a particularly clever Mikemon, clad in a feathered cap and boots. The species also has a long standing enmity with Leomon, though whether this rivalry is expressed viciously or as one of equal respect depends on the individuals involved. Ogremon are also often sought out by Goblimon, who see the Adult-level Digimon as the ideal leaders for their troupes.

Attacks

As stated previously, Ogremon are very strong and well-muscled Digimon, making them extremely athletic and strong Digimon. They are in many ways the equal of Digimon like Leomon, and are a formidable match for any Adult-level and even some Perfects. Ogremon fight primarily using their fists and their bone clubs, the latter of which was copied from the data of a SkullGreymon, giving it excellent durability and hardness.

  • Haouken - Fires a blast of dark energy from its fist.
  • Bone Club - Attacks the opponent with its bone club.
  • Strong Maul - Beats its opponent with repeated strikes of its fists.
  • Feint Punch - Performs a feint, then swings at its opponent with an uppercut.
