Profile
A Warrior Digimon that has strongly manifested the element of Darkness. Though steeped in dark data, Löwemon has none of the malicious tendencies so often found in Digimon aligned to darkness; the lion faces that adorn their armor present a noble image befitting their attacks, which make no use of viruses, curses, or corruptive energies. Löwemon's primary weapons are the Spear of Judgment and the Shield of Atonement, the latter of which is an energy shield that can be summoned at will. It also wears a ring on its right index finger known as the "Neebelnge Ring", which seems to be a dark elemental counterpart to the much more common Holy Ring, acting as both a source of dark power and a limiter for its destructive potential.
Löwemon are a rare species with few recorded appearances, of which all have been eventful. They have generally appeared in the wake of powerful Dark-species Digimon and become "Executors of Darkness", weighing their deeds and punishing the wicked, even if they must stand by Digimon aligned with elemental Light to do so. In this way, they make strange heroes, roundly shunned by the hierarchy of Angel-species for thriving in the same conditions as demonic Digimon that threaten the Digital World, yet beloved by common Digimon for their legacy of striking down those very villains.
The truth of Löwemon's nature is a bit more complex than either view. Their data is strikingly similar to that of the cursed warrior Duskmon, suggesting that the elemental Darkness that exists in the Digital World is not so unlike the elemental Light - fundamentally volatile and drawn to extremes, such that Digimon whose evolution is saturated with it must take command of their own fate or else be consumed.
Attacks
Löwemon instinctively know how to wield the Spear of Judgment they carry; as humanoid warrior Digimon, they fight using human-like martial techniques, and can learn a wide variety. They are swift, fierce fighters that balance speed, offense, and defense. The Shield of Atonement can be summoned in a true shield-like form or as an aura that distributes the shield's defensive ability across the whole body, offering more coverage and less strength. Unlike most Dark-species Digimon, their attacks are more or less equally effective against all types of Digimon, and they are not more vulnerable to holy energy than to any other type of attack.
