Profile
A Devimon subspecies and fellow Fallen Angel Digimon. While normal Devimon are aligned simply with the element of Darkness, IceDevimon have a greater affinity for the element of Ice, while retaining all typical Demon-species traits. In many regards, they are identical to Devimon, with the same dark reputation and unkind tendencies. However, their preference for cold weather sees them moving to or creating frigid, unwelcoming home environments, so they are generally more reclusive than Devimon, and less likely to gather a following of minions.
Solitary as they are, IceDevimon employ techniques of manipulation and deceit to hunt or enact their will, drawing Digimon into their lonely lairs and enthralling them. Their use of illusion and hypnotism is considered cowardly, but effective. Sudden, unseasonable, or very localized snowy weather and accumulation of ice signals an IceDevimon's presence and surrounds the heart of their gelid roost. Beware!
Attacks
Physically, IceDevimon are identical to Devimon, with the same extensible arms and mindjacking claw attacks. Rather than an arsenal of darkness-based curses and energy attacks, however, IceDevimon specialize in ice-based techniques. Their direct attacks are weaker, but by calling down a gale of ice and snow to drop the temperature in their surroundings, they can freeze their enemies, sapping their strength and ultimately stopping their movements. They can place curses, but use cursed ice rather than a cursed symbol as the medium, and their effects are more ice-aspected: for example, dulling emotions, or slowly freezing the target from within. The sheets and structures of ice created by an IceDevimon's powers, or the cold mists and snowy gales they summon, can project illusions, displaying images on reflective sheets of ice or convincing onlookers of familiar silhouettes moving about or voices calling out from within the blizzard.
- Frost Claw - Attacks with razor-sharp frozen claws. Can inject viral data that has a freezing effect on the opponent's body or mind.
- Icy Shower - Flaps its wings, raining down razor-sharp icicles.
- Zero Freeze - Fires freezing beams of ice from its eyes or hands.
- Cold Blood - Curses a target or target object through a shard of ice that lodges itself in the target, an icy mist that seeps into the target, or a similar method. The target becomes imbued with a corruptive coldness, steadily freezing them over, slowing their thoughts or freezing their emotions, wracking them with persistent illusions, or inflicting a similar curse effect. A target can also be affected in less malicious ways, granting them a defensive and offensive affinity for Ice with only minor detrimental effects.
