Profile

A Machine Digimon shaped like a gear. There are countless gears within its body that are constantly turning in concert; if any gear were missing, the rest would stop moving, and Hagurumon's condition would quickly decline. Hagurumon attack by ejecting viruses that alter their target's behavior, which has long made them valuable potential minions for those with nefarious motives. However, their data-output capabilities are just as useful and can be applied to a wide range of technical jobs, making working Hagurumon a common sight in Digiopolis and other places where machines and computer terminals abound. A Hagurumon's sense of self is naturally more robotic than other Digimon, defined by concepts of "orders" and "functions", so young Hagurumon have no concept of good or evil and must deliberately develop their moral and behavioral parameters over time.

Attacks

Hagurumon are somewhat vulnerable to physical attack, as damage to their inner workings can disrupt their gears and threaten their life, but their behavior-disruption viruses are very potent for a Child-level's attack and can usually compensate for that vulnerability.

  • Darkness Gear - Fires off black-colored cogs from its face that embed themselves in their target, infecting them with a disruptive virus that causes pain and drives the opponent mad. The effect wears off in time, according to the intensity of the attack and the relative strength and willpower of the opponent.
  • Command Input - Releases a stream of data that can give commands to simple technology or weaker Digimon. Training over time improves the complexity of commands and reliability of execution.
  • Entangle - Attempts to grind the opponent down between the gears of its body.
  • Crash Device - Deliberately triggers a malfunction within its body, causing it to violently explode. Hagurumon will survive this, but must repair itself.
