Profile
A Devil Dragon Digimon that wields a mysterious power known as "Chrono Destruction". This ability, which manifests as an attack from Grimmon's cannon-like left arm, has the power to reduce complex data to more basic forms, as if it were reversing time itself. When used against other Digimon, this can cause them to devolve, sometimes permanently, though partnered Digimon are particularly resistant to it. Data is not destroyed by Chrono Destruction despite its name, merely degenerated, and as such, it is possible to recover once Grimmon's attack has ceased.
As rare Digimon, Grimmon are poorly understood and seldom recognized. Caution is advised when dealing with a Grimmon, as they are highly aggressive in the use of their abilities. To those that know of them, Grimmon are whispered of as "the Grim Reapers", as their abilities have the potential to return a Digimon back to the state of a DigiEgg, which more or less means death for the victim. That being said, one never knows what values an individual Grimmon holds, so one should never presume hostility, and avoid triggering a fearsome counterattack by attacking out of fear.
Attacks
Grimmon's Chrono Destruction is its most dangerous ability, especially to non-partnered Digimon. Outside of the use of Chrono Destruction, Grimmon are swift and agile, slithering and coiling about like snakes while flying moderately swiftly through the air with their wings. A Grimmon's left arm has been modified into a double-ended scythe, which serves as an effective melee weapon.
- Chrono Destruction - Releases a beam that degenerates data from its right arm. This can reduce non-Digimon data into a formless mass, or force un-partnered Digimon to permanently devolve. When used against a partnered Digimon, it is only temporary, and depending on the individual will of the victim, sometimes resisted altogether at the cost of extreme physical exertion and concentration.
