Profile

An Insect Digimon with dragonfly-like features. The symbol on its brow is one of several Crests, shapes associated with the mysteries of evolution since the ancient days of the Digital World. This one is the Crest of Knowledge, which is associated with Insect-species Digimon and the element of Earth. Flybeemon's origin is the subject of one of various fables told in the Digital World about the Crests and their attributes. It's said that it came about in ancient times when, in a forest ravaged by an infestation of Kunemon, a young Digimon used its wits to avoid starvation, then evolved into the predatory Flybeemon. It shares this mythical origin with Honeybeemon and Butterflymon; the three species prefer different habitats and are rarely seen together in reality, but are often depicted as a trio. Flybeemon are most often found in warm, humid regions with diverse terrain and plenty of cover.

As indicated by the Crest of Knowledge it bears, feelings of inquisitiveness or the exercise of wisdom can skew chances of evolution towards Flybeemon. Flybeemon are highly territorial Digimon who tend to hold black-and-white feelings towards people and places, bonding quickly to their "home territory" and quick to retaliate against any threat. They are quick-thinking and analytical fighters known for standing up to much larger and stronger Digimon.

Attacks

FlyBeemon are agile fliers that move like dragonflies, able to hover in place, move in any direction, and stop and start moving on a dime. By further increasing the speed at which its wings move, it can vibrate them rapidly enough even while flying to generate an electrical attack. Its second primary method of attack is to fire metal stingers from the end of its abdomen; they regenerate quickly and can be fired again and again, or charged with a poison virus.

  • Fly Spark - Fires a bolt of electricity generated by the vibration of its wings.
  • Needle Stinger - Fires nonpoisonous stingers from its abdomen rapidly, like a machine gun.
  • Poison Stinger - Fires a poisonous stinger from its abdomen.
