Profile

An Aquatic Beast Man Digimon with hydrodynamic armor and a fluked tail. Data in its Digicore links it to one of several Crests, shapes associated with the mysteries of evolution since the ancient days of the Digital World. In this case, it is influenced by the Crest of Reliability, which is associated with Aquatic-species Digimon and the element of Water. Depthmon are supremely deft swimmers, with fish-like bodies capable of turning on a dime and propelling them through the water at high speeds. Their armor is highly resistant to pressure, giving them access to regions of the Net Ocean that few other species can penetrate.

As indicated by the Crest of Reliability within its code, feelings of diligence, faithfulness, or steadfastness can skew chances of evolution towards Depthmon. They are found not only throughout the Net Ocean, but in villages along coastlines and inland rivers in all regions of the Digital World.

Attacks

Depthmon are masters of underwater movement, but can breathe air and can become quite agile on land as well with the help of a Digivice's mobility chip. They lack natural weapons suited to direct physical attack, but their armor, which can withstand tremendous deep-sea pressures, also offers protection in combat, particularly against the crushing pressure of blunt attacks. Depthmon's primary attack technique is to create frothy clusters of bubbles that explode violently when touched. When planted in a target's path like mines, they can be difficult to detect without special scanning capabilities, appearing to be merely blobs of seafoam.

  • Bubble Bomb - Creates bombs resembling blobs of froth that explode on contact.
  • Sargasso Drag - Fires whips of brown seaweed from its wrists to lash or ensnare the target.
