Profile

A Digimon resembling a large rabbit. Data in its Digicore links it to one of several Crests, shapes associated with the mysteries of evolution since the ancient days of the Digital World. In this case, it is influenced by the Crest of Friendship, which is associated with Beast-species Digimon and the element of Thunder. Bitmon are a burrowing species with hard, durable claws that can punch through extremely tough strata of rock. They are tidy diggers that separate treasures and useful materials from common soil and rock as they go, and take up high-grade mineral data into their armor as they tunnel through the Digital World's underground, reinforcing its toughness without adding excessive weight. Bitmon have notoriously gentle temperaments, and in the wild, will avoid fighting until thoroughly backed into a corner.

As indicated by the Crest of Friendship it bears, feelings of loyalty and trust can skew chances of evolution towards Bitmon. They commonly work in mining operations as a team with other digging Digimon, swapping in when the situation demands quality over quantity; Bitmon can't match the sheer volume of rock a Drimogemon can consistently unearth, but excel at finding and extracting fragile objects or small mineral deposits.

Attacks

In the wild, Bitmon fight only as a last resort; they are not a combat-oriented species, but are very agile and can tunnel, jump, and dash with astounding athleticism. Their armor increases in protective ability according to the amount and quality of mineral data they've absorbed by digging, with more active diggers and those in geographical regions with tougher rock to tunnel through having the strongest armor. Bitmon facing down an attack will curl up into a ball to protect their extremities and allow their armor to absorb impact. If pressed into combat, Bitmon will turn the ends of its ears forward and reinforce them with mineral data, turning them into sharp piercing weapons.

  • Ear Lancer - Flips its ears forward, hardening them and using them as bladed weapons.
  • Carrot Bomb - Throws a bomb that resembles a carrot. Useful for destroying obstacles.
