Profile

A Cyborg Digimon that has strongly manifested the element of Wood. Its appearance is derived from data on karakuri puppets, making their movements rigid, but don't be fooled - though their robotic gestures give off a slow and clunky impression, they can spring into uncannily quick action at the drop of a hat. Arbormon is made up entirely of Plant-species data in both living and nonliving forms, so that its body is composed not only of wooden armor and joints but of cable-like cords of ivy and a vital plant "heart" wrapped around its Digicore. This ivy can be extended from Arbormon's back or open joints and manipulated like extra appendages, especially to ensnare opponents like a puppeteer controlling dancing marionettes. It can also detach its wooden joints and extend and retract the connective ivy within at will, swinging its limbs around or extending their reach. The outer wooden parts of their body are treated with a hard, fireproof lacquer, leaving only their internal structure vulnerable to fire attacks.

Arbormon appear only in areas that are flush with elemental Wood data - so, almost exclusively old forests abundant with growth. The appearance of an Arbormon is a sure sign of a forest's vitality, as well as its fitness as a home for other Plant-species Digimon, who celebrate Arbormon as their guardians. Its appearance belies its nature as the Digimon species with the highest concentration of Plant-species data, more representative of the Plant-species than Digimon like Woodmon or Togemon that actually resemble plants. Under some circumstances, Arbormon have been able to exchange data with simple digital flora, rejuvenating forests or repairing themselves through the transfer of elemental wood.

Attacks

Arbormon move like automatons, with swift, jerky motions that can appear uncanny. Their range of motion is not restricted, however, especially when they employ the vines coiled within their bodies, either to extend the reach of their limbs or to whip freely around on their own. Arbormon can also further propagate this ivy by generating seeds; the ivy that grows from these seeds can be manipulated by the Arbormon that first planted it, as can any ivy propagated further from *that* plant and so on. An attack like this can only be halted by rooting out every bit of ivy being controlled or by disabling Arbormon itself. This ivy is flammable and can be sliced through, as is the case with Arbormon's internal components. Its outer components are lacquered and are both fireproof and as hard as steel.

  • Machinegun Dance - Extends its arms and legs with ivy and ruthlessly pummels the enemy with repeated blows.
  • Blockade Seed - Fires an explosive seed from its mouth that covers whatever it hits with ivy.
